Nathalie Dietrich, Chair
Nathalie is trilingual (English, Spanish, German). She is a nationally certified medical interpreter and a DOJ-Accredited Representative/CLINIC Immigration Fellow. She currently works at Maxwell Street Legal Clinic. She lives in Lexington with her two daughters.
Cara Martinez, Treasurer
Cara began her career in the field of medical interpreting in 2005. She has held a variety of positions in different healthcare settings – from freelance to staff interpreter to interpreter services manager. As the former system manager of Language & Cultural Services for KentuckyOne Health, Cara and her team focused on providing high-quality, safe care for all LEP and Deaf/Hard of Hearing patients and families while creating an integrated program aligned with Title VI, ADA, and Joint Commission standards. In 2015, she was awarded the Raquel Cashman Language Access Award by the International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA). In her current position as Accreditation and Regulatory Manager for Norton Healthcare, Cara works closely with clinical leaders and contracted interpreters/agencies to ensure compliance with standards mandating the use of trained, qualified professionals.
Elizabeth Harned, Secretary
Elizabeth is a French speaker having gotten her undergraduate degree from Middlebury College in Vermont. Her studies included living in Paris, France. She has taught at Sayre School and is currently studying nursing at Midway University. She lives in Lexington with her husband, their two children and three rescue dogs.
Chris Stanley, Member at Large
Chris lives in The Villages, FL where she stays busy with various political activities. She has worked as a paralegal and started her own consultant company in 2007, R & C Associates. She is sought out for her skills of strategic planning, team building and new business development. She is a mom to on adult son, Rory.
Lynn Fors, MA, Certified Healthcare Interpreter ™
Lynn learned Spanish as a young adult and later combined her medical and Spanish studies to become the first full-time Spanish medical interpreter to be hired in Lexington, Kentucky. She has been awarded the Rachel Cashman Language Access Award by the International Association and the Friend of Languages Award by the Kentucky World Language Association. Lynn and her husband, Everardo (Lalo) are parents to a teenage son, Danny.
